On 28-6-2018, Centre for Social Concern of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and BA Social Work department organised a Flash Mob cum Skit Performance as a part of observing of International day against Drug and Illicit Trafficking, which was on 26-6-2018. Performance was conducted in the Ground floor of City Centre Mall at 5pm. 25 students from different U.G streams performed in it.
Program started with a Flash Mob and later shifted to a skit on Drug abuse among adolescents. Large crowd including mall staffs, Students, Police officials and Faculties from the college were gathered. Mr Udhay M Nayak, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Central Subdivision, Mangaluru) The officials of Economic & Narcotic Crime Police Station Pandeshawar, Ms Manjula, Mr Shyam Sundar, Mr Lakshmeesha Head Constable Ms Anuradha Murudeshwara, Asst Sub inspector, North Police Station Pandeshawar and Mr Ganeh Mulky Nayak, Freelance Program Organiser/Coordinator were attended. Soon after the programme, the students collected signatures of the Audience on a memorandum which demands for the Prohibition of Smoking areas inside Bars and Restaurants in Karnataka.
